October 11, 2015

Mushrif Trading & Contracting submitted the lowest bid for a contact to construct a treated sewage effluent (TSE) network and reservoirs in Kuwait under Tender No. SE/158 worth KD74.9m ($247.8m). The bids were for the installation of TSE networks and reservoirs in project area D1, which is west of Kuwait City and bordered by Ghazali Expressway to the east, the Jahra area to the west, Kuwait Bay to the north and the 7th Ring Road to the south. The project will involve the construction of an irrigation network using treated sewage effluent (TSE) for public gardens and parks, military camp landscaping and natural reserves. The contract will involve the construction of sixteen reservoirs at various locations in the project area. The work will also involve constructing two larger reservoirs, each with a capacity of 170,000 square meters (sqm), and a pumping station and a connection to Abdally farms, close to the Iraqi border. The scheme is the latest of a number of major sewage projects that the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) is pushing ahead with.
