The Ministry of Public Works, Kuwait has awarded Mushrif Trading & Contracting Co., KSCP a KD 82.8m ($274m) project to build a 40-kilometre road to link Mina Abdulla City and Wafra. Mushrif submitted the lowest offer, outbidding other major contractors. The project calls for the construction, completion and maintenance of roads and bridges. The scope of the project includes earthworks; demolition of existing pavement; three-to- four-lane dual expressways; parallel, collector and distributor lanes; eight overpasses; culverts; bridges; rainwater drainage and sanitary works; water and irrigation pipelines; and electricity networks, among other related infrastructure.
