Our commitment to the environment is demonstrated by our involvement in environmental protection, through responsible water disposal and recycling hazardous waste materials, wasteland reclamation and the building of controlled disposal facilities.
Recently we have significantly increased our activities in this field. Notable projects include the $35m Umm Al-Hayman wastewater treatment plant, and the $12m expansion, operation and maintenance of the Ardiyah wastewater treatment plant. We have also recently completed the $19.5m Tubli sewerage treatment plant expansion in Bahrain, and have signed a $10m project for environment protection from waste water pollutants with the Ministry of Public Works in Kuwait. We have over 450 engineers, technicians and operators currently active in this Division, and our goals for further expansion will enhance our position as regional leaders in environmental contracting and engineering. Our capabilities include the full range of operation and maintenance, and the repair and renovation of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil facilities. Our fully staffed and equipped laboratories ensure compliance with the highest effluent quality parameters for wastewater treatment, and our design and biological process capability ensures that we meet client goals of providing clean treated effluent. |
